This was a wet on wet technique where I wet the paper first before painting. Without watercolor paper at my disposal, I used drawing paper which actually contributed to some of the textures. I used a blow-up image from a Harley, but decided after painting, that this abstracted version looked much better upside down. At the time, I was working with a body of work that involved sewing. To me, this looks like the raveled threads of a project gone awry.
