Pennies from Heaven, 1987

I think every teenager thinks about life and death. In my early twenties, I thought about it a lot. It fascinated me.

I'd just gone through a tramatic period in my life and art became very theraputic. My figure drawing teacher required us to put together a body of work. A series of pieces that all centered on one theme. I chose life and death.

I call this piece Pennies from Heaven. I'll let you interpret it's meaning.
